I’d like to thank our clients Clarion Solicitors, and in particular partners John Robinson and Matthew Hattersley and Senior Associate Deborah Warren for inviting Florit Brooke to partner with them on their In-house Lawyer Masterclass this morning.
As a former ‘wannabe’ employment lawyer a number of things came flooding back, and in particular what a complicated area of law TUPE is!
What’s very clear is that on a transfer of undertakings, there is a very obvious need to consult your external legal counsel early since the applicability of TUPE and how it is dealt with in the transfer documentation depends on a huge variety of factors, and, as ever, the structure of warranties and indeminities will be crucial.
There was an excellent level of attendance and some very good content.
