Infinis has retained Florit Legal for another legal recruitment project.
Infinis is a leading diversified distributed power producer with a total installed generating capacity of over 480 megawatts across 153 sites, which generate electricity from methane-rich gas. The company is a utility standard operating platform with three divisions: renewable Landfill Gas (LFG); baseload Coal Mine Methane (CMM); and Power Response (PR).
The company runs the single largest fleet of LFG engines in the UK and has c.300 employees.
Based at the company’s HQ in Northampton, the two, newly-created in-house legal roles form part of a small, lively and professional legal team, and involve the provision of legal support on a range of commercial, development projects, corporate, real estate and regulatory matters as well as other day-to-day legal advice to all areas of the business, and the Senior Management Team.
Owner and director of Florit Legal, Miguel Florit states:
I’m delighted that Infinis has appointed us again for a further in-house legal recruitment project, which stands as the fourth such project my team and I have been involved in over the last 10 years.
One of the roles has a real estate focus, and, as a former commercial property lawyer myself I can see huge potential here for someone from private practice to diversify their skills whilst also continuing to maintain their real estate specialism. These are great roles which are well suited to private practice solicitors looking to get far more engaged with the end-to-end commercials than might otherwise be the case within a law firm.
Infinis benefits from the financial strength of its owner, 3i Infrastructure plc, a major economic infrastructure business, whilst still being of the size to offer a varied and exciting workload to lawyers looking to work as in-house counsel, and be presented with an opportunity to make a visible difference.
The company is a key player in what will continue to be a growth sector in the UK for the foreseeable future.
