New corporate law role with Sky Bet in Leeds
A new corporate client for our In-house Team
Sky Betting and Gaming
Florit Brooke is pleased to be acting for Sky Betting and Gaming in its search for a lawyer specialising in Corporate Law.
Based in Leeds, Sky Betting and Gaming has grown to become one of the UKs leading online betting and gaming companies, with a strong track record of digital innovation.
Close relationships with Sky Sports provide a unique opportunity to deliver a real Sky experience that makes the brand stand out in the online gaming sector.
As a pure online business with a mobile first ethos that brings the excitement of sports betting, casino games, poker and bingo to a rapidly growing number of customers in the leisure betting and gaming market, the company has sustained rapid growth over the last few years.
Owing to this growth curve, which includes a possible IPO, the expanding legal function is now looking to hire a corporate lawyer to help the business achieve its strategic goals.
Rare In-house Corporate Law Opportunity
Unlike the majority of in-house roles which appeal to generalist company/commercial lawyers or commercial contracts ‘purists’, this is a rare beast – seldom do we get asked for pure corporate lawyers.
The bulk of the role will be general corporate work, such as joint ventures, M&A work, ad hoc special projects, corporate governance matters, international structuring, supporting the company secretarial function as well as a potential IPO.
The role would ideally suit an individual with a strong corporate background in the Leeds office of a Legal 500 rated UK/International law firm, known for its corporate law expertise.
The role is particularly well suited to someone with the confidence and commercial ability to work autonomously on corporate law projects.
Prior in-house experience is advantageous but not essential.
