The Yorkshire Legal Awards 2016 – it’s tonight!

October 13, 2016

Legal professionals across the region will tonight be cracking out their black tie attire for one of the most important industry events in the Yorkshire calendar – the Yorkshire Legal Awards 2016.

Organised by Barker Brooks, publishers of Leeds & Yorkshire Lawyer magazine, and now in its 16th year, the Yorkshire Legal Awards recognises the rich diversity of the region’s legal community, and celebrates the many fantastic achievements of its firms and its individuals.

With award categories acknowledging everyone from the biggest corporate law firms to rising stars and trainee solicitors, the Awards will tonight bring together legal professionals from Scarborough to Sheffield and Wakefield to Whitby at the New Dock Hall in the heart of Leeds, for an evening of food, drink and celebration.

The Florit Brooke team has attended every Yorkshire Legal Awards evening since our launch in 2007. Each year we’ve found the event inspiring, motivational and great fun, and for 2016 we’ve taken our support up a notch: this year, Florit Brooke is delighted to be the sponsor for the Corporate and Commercial Award category, an award which is usually hotly contested by top-tier firms in the area.

Won last year by Squire Patton Boggs, this year’s shortlist for the Corporate and Commercial Award comprises Clarion, DLA Piper, Ward Hadaway, and Squire Patton Boggs once again. Yorkshire has been a real hub of activity over the last 12 months in the corporate M&A field and commercial law generally, and the shortlisted firms have had the chance to exercise their formidable talents and showcase their outstanding capabilities.

As ever, we’re very excited to be attending the Yorkshire Legal Awards, and we wish the best of luck to all the firms and individuals nominated for awards in 2016.

See you there!
